i3 8100+1060 (3gb) or i5 8400+1050ti (overclocked)?

Hi there, I’m making my first build and I’d appreciate if you could help me with some advice. The choice is between these two configurations:
-i3 8100 and 1060 3gb
-i5 8400 and 1050 ti oc

The i3 8100 and 1060 3gb would be a faster gaming rig right now. But the i5 8400 and 1050 ti oc would be the better move if you plan on keeping (and upgrading) the build in the future. IMO

I was in the same situation as you and I went for i5-8400 & 1050 Ti. No regrets at all, especially since I plan to upgrade plus my monitor is not powerful (720p).
Probably around next year I'll be getting a 1070-80 with a good monitor.
