Hi,

I'm evaluating to build a new PC and I read a lot about the memory problem of the Ryzen platform.

What do you suggest for best stable and reliable platform?

A i3 8100 or a Ryzen 2200G?

Some suggestion for a very good motherboard for them?

No overclock, only default system.

I will use them only to work

Thansk

Solution
i3 8100 perform in between of the old i5 7400,7500 where as 2200g somewhere around a ryzen 3 1300x cpu, cpu wise, i3 8100 is more powerful, however, the build-in graphics are much better in 2200g. since you mentioned you use it for work, i3 8100 is better.

most memory issue with amd is for 2666 MHz+ speed. there are far less memory issue at 2400/2666 MHz range.
either are fine.

motherboard choice,
for 8100, you may want to wait for b360 motherboard, it's announced yesterday, and should be hitting the shelfs in 2 week. if you can't wait you always get an asrock z370 pro4

for 2200g, you can pick a b350 motherboard for more feature, it $10~20 more expensive than the basic a320 model, it usually has 4 slot for memory allowing more...
Depends on what you're intending to do, really.

Both systems will be rock stable for you once you configure them.

If you intend to do light gaming, then the Ryzen platform is better. If you just want to do media consumption, then the i3 is better. Although, for anything graphics related, I hate Intel drivers. But that is my personal experience.

Cheers!

In conclusion, i3 8100 seems to be more fitting, however you may want to wait for the cheaper b360 motherboard.
if you can't wait, then i3 8100/z370 can be purchased in store right now.
