Hey guys i have system with i3 8100 and thinking of playing some games like witcher 3, red dead redemption 2, gta 5, hitman 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey etc.. 1080p gaming
I will only play for like 1 day in a week, do i really need to upgrade my cpu or will it be fine with 1650 super?

This system was build for movie watching, internet browsing. However now after 1 year i would like to upgrade the gpu so i could play some games the budget is low so a gpu only upgrade would be good.

My current config
cpu - i3 8100
Mobo - msi b360m pro-vdh
Ram - 8 gb ddr4 2400 mhz
Storage - Samsung 970 evo 250 gb & WD black 1 tb

Solution
You'll be fine, even a 1660 Super would more or less be fine with your CPU. Saying that though you definitely should upgrade to a i5 or i7 eventually since quad cores are starting to show they limitations in more and more modern games.
