[SOLVED] i3 8350k (no OC) or i5 8400?

On this build should I get an i3 8350k but not OC it (because my mono doesn't support it), or an i5 8400? I will be using it for gaming and other multitasking such as surfing the web and using Microsoft Office. Any other comments on my build in general? Thanks in advance!

i5-8400 is the better gaming chip. More games today can utilize more than 4 threads and will benefit more form the six-core i5.

Yeah, its not even close. The 8400 all the way. Dont let the 2.8ghz base clock fool you. It has a nice single core turbo.

With that being said, I would go for the 2600 over both of them. It is cheaper, unlocked, and has twice the number of threads and gaming performance on par with the 8400.
