i3 & Gtx 660 ti versus i5 & Gtx 660

Hi guys, i'm goin' yo buy a new PC, so i thought you can help me. Which is better?
P.s. I need to buy a PSU too. Does Cougar 600w will be good? I wanted to buy a Corsair cx600, but it out of my budget. Thanks.
P.s.s. My screen resolution is 1440x900.

I would instead opt for the AMD FX 6300, which is comparable in price to the i3, but has 6 cores, which is better suited for next-gen games. Also, the GTX 760 outperforms the 660 Ti, but costs about the same ($250).

If you already have an Intel Platform, go wit hthe i5.

If you are building new from scratch, DrewWhoo's recommendation is good. Get a 970 series motherboard, a FX 6300, CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO cooler will let you overclock it like a champ, and at the time of this posting NewEgg had the OCZ Mod extreme Pro 700w on sale for $65 ... that's 50% off. Thats a steal for a good power supply.

Hi ya. 1) I don't really like AMD; 2) NewEgg don't delivers in my country, and here this OCZ 700W costs like 120$ (Cougar 600W costs ~60$). So i think, maybe i'd better get FSP 600W PNR?

If you're totally against AMD, then get the 4 core i5. CPUs with only 2 cores like the i3 are fast becoming obsolete. Because the AMD chip is cheaper and better than the i3, it would enable you to get a better GPU within your budget without having the CPU become the bottleneck. With the i5, you're stuck with a 660, which is a less powerful combination than an FX 6300 with a 760.

You only need a 550W unit. Its more than enough already. Its better to get a high quality lower wattage unit than a crappy unit of high wattage. Dont get Cougar or FSP.
