I3 or phenom 2 processor

Im building a computer sometime this summer and there seems to be a lot of debate between the two processors... Im leaning towards the AMD because it has 4 cores.

some gaming, but mostly just everyday usage. Im not trying to run crysis, but i want as fast as computer as i can get.

Im have a budget around $650

650$ for MB, CPU,RAM,Video card, power supply, and case. i already have a mouse, keyboard, and screen.

ya if your going for a mid range computer go for a Quad core AMD words wonders =) since there is quite a premium tagged to even i3 for its power.

But soon as you get a bit higher I'm Intel all the way.

Edit: saw some new Benchmarks seems couple I looked at were hoaxed =)
