I3 to i7 upgrade

Hello, what i7 processor would be the best upgrade for my pc? it's a hp p6630nl

Why do you need a i7. Also you have Socket 1156, it's an obsolete socket.

Core i3 540 to Core i7-870 would be the top upgrade.
Core i5-760 would be another option.

What prices are you seeing for those CPUs?
