i3 vs pentium

I want to build a high end gaming pc and I'm on a tight budget so I don't know what to choose between the core i3 4340 and the pentium g3258....... which would be more efficient in high games like far cry 4 , A Unity , dying light etc???

You should go with the i3. FC4 (and other newer games) needs the 4 threads to be playable really. Even BF4 has a very noticeable stutter on the G3258.
