Hello

I'm building a new pc as my 11years old rig is running out of breath and wanted to ask for some opinions on the CPU's.

So far the 10600 seems to be best in my eyes as according to the info i could find it offers slightly better performance in games than R5 3600x while sitting at pretty much same price here and i do not plan to overclock. GPU for this build would be RTX 2060, likely going to stick with 1080p monitor for foreseeable future and the PC will be used almost exclusively for games.

My main issue is i could not find any solid review of base 10600 as i'm either blind or everyone jumped on reviewing 10600k instead so i'd like to ask for some more inpunt on that.

Personally, I would go with Ryzen. I have high expectations for the new generation, and a good motherboard (like an x570) should work perfectly with it. Also, the cooler included on the Ryzen CPUs is pretty decent, but the one included on Intel is not, so you will have to pay a little more for an aftermarket cooler.
But, if those things don't really matter to you, and you want every single frame that your graphics card can give you, you should go with the 10600K. Even if you're not interested in OCing, you might be in the future, and an overclocked 10th gen i5 should be able to keep up with the RTX 30 series (wich I recommend if you have the budget, $500 for a 3070 is crazy)

As of right now when I post this the 10600k is 275 dollars...the 3600XT (not the 3600x) is 35 dollars less. I doubt anyone could tell the difference between the 10600k and 3600XT while gaming. The Ryzen chip will also provide an upgrade path to the 4000 series shortly. The 10600k is a solid chip and games very well...the exact same thing applies to the 3600x and 3600xt. You really can't go wrong with any of them.
