Question i5 12400f or i7 10700F to pair with a RTX 3070?

Hey, guys.
As the title says, I'm in doubt in which CPU should i be getting for my new gaming computer - whether the i5 12400f or the i7 10700f.
I'll pair this CPU with a RTX 3070.
I'm not thinking on upgrading this computer for at least the next 3-4 years.

The 12400F is the better CPU, unless you really need the more cores. Which you don't for gaming.

If youre building new, go for the 12400, unless you find a killer deal on a used 10700k setup, avoid it, granted there is not a huge speed difference between them, the 12400 is still faster and has an upgrade path, whereas the 10700 does not. Also worth looking at is the i3 12100, its a decent little chip that'll easily handle that RTX 3070.
