Hello,

So last month I upgraded my PC and I started reading more about XMP option.
It was turned off in my BIOS by default and i was wondering if turning it on will give me any benefits in gaming? What should I be worried about by turning it on? So far computer is great (with XMP Off) did not have any issues or blue screens etc.
I’m mostly playing: Cyberpunk2077, Starfield, Elden Ring, Forza Horizon 5

Specs:
MB: ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus
CPU: Intel Core i5 12600k + DeepCool AK620
RAM: 2x16GB G.Skill Ripjaws S5 Series DDR5-6000
GPU: PowerColor Red Devil Radeon RX6750XT
PSU: Corsair CX650M 650W
CASE: NZXT H5 Flow with 2x120mm front, 2x120mm top, 1x 120mm rear

Data from CPU-Z (Memory tab):

XMP ON: 3000MHz 36-36-36-96-132

Lower latency and faster speed, it can only be a benefit.

You are not likely see instability. If you do, slightly increase the voltage to the memory.

Of more concern is your somewhat low end PSU for an upper mid-range gaming build. You should consider replacing that sooner rather than later, it will also save you a little on your power bill to get a better one.

Thank you! Yes i am aware of the PSU, what would you recommend for my setup? Can I get something decent for under 100$?
