It means don’t even consider the 5800x. It’s a great cpu but is an older generation and runs hot. Skip the 5800x and get one of the i5 cpus I mentioned. If you are on a budget I’d consider the 13400 or 13500 as they should be lower power and will likely include a stock cooler in the box.

13600k is probably the best value when it comes to current gen gaming CPU capable of doing other non-gaming stuff. You even have the option of getting a DDR4 or DDR5 motherboard. Depending on your budget and/or what kind of RAM you already own and you might plan to reuse.

Ask about 5800x3d and you would likely get a somewhat different response.

Many people are also waiting to see the new x3d versions of their new cpu which used to have a leaked feb 15 date but is amd said that was not correct.

Unless you are on a very very tight budget, 5800x3d is about the only am4 cpu to consider. If you had an older b350 board or b450 and were upgrading an existing system then the response would be different imo.

I actually do not. But I can tell you with the 5800x, I run a 240mm aio to keep temps in line. I have 4 other case fans besides that. 5800x is a decent chip but is now older tech and runs hot.

You could take it to a PC repair shop and they can test it before you send it overseas.
