i´m planning to upgrade my GPU from a gtx 650ti to a more powerfull gtx 970, but i´m not shure about this upgrade because mi CPU is an i5 2310 @3.2, my mobo don´t permit OC, anyway, the question is, my CPU are going to bottleneck the new gtx 970?

no it doesn't bottleneck it.If you see on all new games the recommended cpu is 2nd gen i5 which is always more than enough for the game.Your cpu has plenty of power to drive this card! You might get like +2fps with a better cpu but it's not worth.

Excelent, tnx man. Well, what brand you recomend to buy. I have 3 options:

MSI GTX 970 TWIN FROZER OC $409.00
ASUS Strix gtx 970 $390.00
GIGABYTE GTX 970 WINDFORCE $382.00

the 2 first cards have the almost the same price, the gigabyte cost 26-27 dollars less than the MSI.
I have another option, the r9 290 from MSI ($355.00), that card cost arround 30 dollars less than the gigabyte (382 dollars). Is this card a good buy at that price?

the gtx 970 is faster than the r9 290.From what i have seen, they are pretty much the same.Just go with the cheapest one and save yourself some money.

I´ve read some reviews, and they afirm that the gtx 970 is arround 7-10% faster than the r9 290, but is more hungry power than the nvidia card, so, for a litle more money is a worth buy? or I must go whit the r9 290?

I have a basic motherboard gigabyte H61M-DS2, i guess my mobo doesn´t permit OC my CPU :/

i was talking about the cards from the different manufacturers. That they are pretty much the same. You didn't include my whole post

Ok, that´s a good answer. But i guess is only better in games (everything else doesn't matter xD).

I tried before, but is locked :/
