Good afternoon, all
I'm having a bit of an issue with a motherboard replacement and was hoping that someone might be able to kindly assist?
I've had to swap out a motherboard from a Fujitsu ESPrimo P400, and have fitted an Asus H61M-F, and all was going well until the boot attempt.
I've configured the BIOS, but before being able to enter it, I see the message, "CPU not supported. Press F1 to continue"
The CPU is an i5-2310 (4 cores/4 threads, 2.90ghz, 6MG) and I assumed that all would be compatible considering the specifications of the Asus motherboard.
POST completes, and I can see that all drives are recognised, and the computer tries to boot to Windows, but then just loops and returns to the earlier message that the CPU is not supported.
I was wondering whether I have missed something, and my CPU is indeed not supported. I've spent a good amount of time trying to find out if it's not, but I'm finding myself confused.
Thanks very much, and all answers are greatly appreciated.
Regards
Paul
