Is it safe to play games at 100°C? Whenever I play games my processor, which is i5-2310, reaches 100°C using stock cooler, specifically playing Overwatch. Is it normal? I'm using HWMonitor and PC Wizard to see what temp it is, same results, 97 - 100°C. But when idle it's just 55 - 60°C. It's just when I'm playing games it reaches 100°C.

PC Specs:
- i5-2310
- 8gb RAM
- GTX 1050

branching off mdd1093's comment tape works too
no seriously, you haven't surrounded or covered your cpu with any foreign objects right?
does your cpu feel hot, there seem to be a awful lot of cases that just have false readings from the cpu thermometers
