I'm hoping to upgrade to a gtx 1080 when it is released but was wondering if you think the rest of the computer will bottleneck it too badly. I'm also looking to upgrade to a 144hz 1440p monitor.

The 1080 will run fine in your system. In fact, you would do just fine with the 1070 when it's released.

Some may say it's a bit overkill for a 1080p system, but either one will be a strong performer if you go 1440p.
