i5 2400 & fx 4100

so i have i5 2400, 1050 2gb h61m c and 8gb 10666 ddr3 ram, and my friends pc have fx 4100, 950 oc 2gb, asrock 970 and 8gb 10666 ddr3 ram, in game, i.e dota2, i got 130fps using 1366*768, while my friend got 160fps using 1600*900.
my question, how is my friends pc got higher fps than me, if i were upgrading my pc, what part you recommend me to upgrade first

Even if it were an fx 4130, the i5 2400 is considerably faster.

Are you sure that your game settings are identical? Do they have a faster internet connection than you do? Are all your gpu drivers up to date?

Exactly. You both should use identical drivers and identical game settings when comparing. Preferably identical version of Windows as well.

DOTA2 isn't a very good benchmark, and in both cases, both of you are well above what the fresh rates of your monitors are, so it's kindof irrelevant.

i believe its identical, the difference only the resolution monitor i use, i have 1366*768 and the other is 1600*900, even my connection is faster

im using windows 10, and the other using windows 8, even if the windows version different, dont you think my spec little bit higher?

hahaha, true, but for slightly better spec, i shouldnt get lower fps i guess, thats what intrigued me most
