helloToms, hello friends. my question is: I have an i5 2400 processor, motherboard gigabyte z77, 1x8 and 2x4 gb ddr3 1333 ddr 1333 gb, 4gb 270x gpu, 120gb ssd 840. and I wonder if the change is justified by an i5 4670k and Z87 motherboard?
Nah, comparing second gen intel to fourth gen intel, there isn't a big increase in IPC (instructions per clock). you won't see a justifiable difference.

If I were you I honestly would wait till the new Haswell - E chips come out that way the rest of the CPUs would go lower in cost. By the time that happens you could probably buy an i7 4770k.

Just wait it out.
Agreed. A refresh is supposedly coming soon. It'd be better to wait it out, and pick up either a bleeding edge CPU, or a previous Haswell at a subsidized price.
Thanks all for your responses. if the only thing I want to change it is because my mother bought me and my mic and with that money I upgrade a little. Am looking for a 4770k with an affordable mother until you get the new 9 series intel hipset. Or Amd advise me??
