i5 2400 turbo increasing

I have i5 2400 3.1ghz in stock cooler
I saw some posts about increasing turbo speed
I'm totally noob
How can i change turbo settings?
Using software or in bios?
Anyone can give steps that i have to do?
And will increasing turbo harm cpu life?

You can't change the turbo boost. And your cpu is not overclockable.
There are some people who managed to do it but it's complicated and you may have a high chance of ruining your cpu/shortening it's life.

Well don't i have to turn on turbo boost or something?

it is on by default yes, if you don't see it working you can go into your bios and make sure it's on

Thats true man... the cpu boost tech is on by default and with that cpu you should be getting about 3.1 GHz at stock and about 3.4-+ with turbo boost on... overclocking it more as said isn`t easy and obviously not recommended.

So just be happy with the cpu as it is man, it`s not a very bad cpu as 2nd gen goes...
