i5 2500k @ 4.4ghz - Higher Vcore in Bios than Cpu-z & HWMonitor? What is my actual v-core

According to bios, the vcore reportedly is 1.380, while both cpu z & hwmonitor are reporting a vcore of:
Min: 1020
Max: 1344
Current: 1332

Could anyone shed some light on this? Im trying to get 4.4 ghz stable, but one core failed overnight after the 6 hour mark, just one and the rest kept going.. So I tried bumping up the vcore by 0.01 & the windows wouldnt boot up the first time, second time it worked

What does this tell me?

And preciate it! Really helpful forums

I've got the Z68AP-D3 (Socket 1155) & CoolerMaster hyper 212 I believe, not 100% sure but its that or the Evo

@Undying89,
So HWMonitor shows the correct voltage for the core? And what you need to know? not too experienced with all this :x

But my temps are as following:
Prime95 = Max 68 on core 2 (the hottest)
IBT = Max 78 on core 2

Quite a difference, guess IBT is a lot more demanding huh? I also noticed that my vcore according to hwmonitor went up highre than with prime95

Case is on the smaller side, but temp doesnt really bother me to be honest, only IBT seems to trigger such high temps, I had the setting on "Very High" it the hottest core was at about 75~ with peaks or 77-78. Whilst P95 gives me average temp on the hottest core of about 65'ish

Airflow is meh, small case :p

On 4.3 ghz I had P95 temps of around 60-62~ but I just cant seem to get it stable at 4.4-4.5 ghz with decent temps.. What kind of voltage is about average for a 4.4 overclock? Im gonna run IBT on maximum, just dropped voltage by 0,01 and enabled a few options, see if that does anything good

I just ran IBT on standard settings, to test the cpu mainly for 20 runs, and these were the results.
I did notice that the Vcore was kinda varying, from 1332 - 1356

I'd like to achieve a little lower temps, what do I do from this point on? Should I go and lower the voltages until the point it starts failing IBT 20 runs @ standard, and take it from there?

I've truly got no idea of how much rpm this cpu cooler is capable off or the fans, I just know the rpms go towards 2000 rpm

I've seem to have it stable at 4.5 ghz atm, the vcore does rise to 1,404 volt sometimes, but during prime95 temps seem to be really good for that amount of voltage..

But i do have one problem, my youtube continues to freeze and playing gta 5, the loading screens sometimes show stripes for a split sec.. But what has that got to do with the cpu?

Im in the midst of upgrading my CPU still, taking it slower and more cautiously this time. Its at 4ghz, on stock voltages seemingly stable.. My plan is to "fix" my gpu problem first and overclock that thing a little bit. Then to continue with my CPU, I dont want to push it too fast too far haha, gotten a little cautious >.>

Would rlly love some input in my other thread. cant seem to fix it :/
