Hey Guys,

I would be overclocking my i5-2500k and R9 390. I wasn't able to overclock before cuz my MOBO didn't support OCing and reason for 390, I didn't used to own one so I couldn't overclock it too :kikou: .

- So I wanted to know if I am good to OC (according to my hardware ?)

  • I can still change my motherboard, cooler and PSU as I haven't bought them yet, would get them in 2-3 days.
And also what speed can I achieve with my 850w PSU, CM Hyper 212X and i5-2500k (Listed hardware below) ? Keep in mind I would also OC my Graphics Card!

PSU: Seasonic M12II-850 850 Watts PSU : https://www.flipkart.com/seasonic-m12ii-850-850-watts-psu/p/itmdhx2h6rhz8s62?pid=PSUDHX2HWEUTFG4E

My main purpose will be PC Gaming. (GTA V, Witchers 3 etc) :)

Look for an ATX Z77 motherboard instead of mATX. Also it says that the motherboard is out of stock?

The same for the graphics card, also out of stock.

Anyways the GTX 970 is much cheaper on Flipkart so I would recommend that over the R9 390. Because in India that graphics card costs too much:

The GTX 970 is pretty much just as good as the R9 390, and you don't need more than a 550 watts power supply to run it.

1.my budget for cooler and mobo would be 9-10k, so can you recommend me a mobo? how about buying a lower priced cooler and adding that money to mobo ?

2.Links are just for reference I would be buying from local market, Nehru Place being the biggest IT Hub of India, you can find or give order of anything you can think of related to tech weather its a local Chinese phone or out of stock hardware.

3.I am considering R9 390 for that extra 8 gigs just becuz I may take of my 390 and start with new build adding 1 more 390 to crossfire for tripal monitor setup next year. And for this PC, I would set this up for my parents in living room becuz I don't even like to touch that old crappy dual core shit PC when it goes wrong!
