Hi, I am going to be upgrading my computer but I am stuck on the Cpu which I wish to buy.

The motherboard I will probably be getting is the ASRock z77 Extreme 4 LGA 1155.

I am going to be putting in 8gb's of ram and my GTX 660 SC 2gb.

However, I can't decide which CPU I wish to use. I am not planning on overclocking because I am not into heavy gaming or anything like that but I still might consider doing a light overclock sometime in the future. I am on a tight budget so I am not planning on getting anything expensive. I will be using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo for my cooling.

I have found deals on ebay for used 3570k and 2500k but I am leaning towards the 2500k because it costs only $150 while the 3570k costs $185. I have read there isn't much of a difference so I think I should go for the 2500k.

Anyway, which Cpu would be better for my system and why?
Which Cpu is the better deal considering the price difference?
Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Solution
3570 is about 5-10% faster depending on what you're doing and in your case is almost 25% more expensive. You can OC the 2500 and make up the difference.

Also I have noticed you are using the same motherboard I am planning to purchase.
How well can you overclock and what are the limitations?
Also I have heard that ASRock boards tend to have long boot times but since you are a first hand user, I thought I might ask you. Is this true? I will be using a normal (not SSD) hdd.
Thanks for any help.
