i5 3330 to Ryzen 3 1200. is it an upgrade? is it worth it?

I've been having problems with my motherboard lately, producing crackling sounds on my pc. So I'm deciding to get a ryzen 3 1200 and a B350 mobo. will the R3 be an upgrade to my i5 3330?

Not enough enormous gap but certainly and upgrade especially when it'll easily oc to 3.8ish on the stock cooler. Also gets you a board that'll give you an upgrade path to 8c16t CPUs built in the next 4-5 years if your needs or budget change.
