The following will explain why not for the gt 740m, as you can see most games are only really playable at low settings, and the FPS are also dependent on the CPU being used. The i5-3337u is a Dual-Core hyper threaded CPU, 2 physical cores with 2 logical cores, most games (newer titles) except for older ones are optimized for 4 cores or more. So yes it's good for low-mid end gaming, not high end, and most certainly not Hardcore gaming.
thnks for ur suggestion werner...i m going to purchase sony vaio f15218 which is rs.46,990......so now my question is what ur thought about this laptop......plz share ur thoughts......can i run skyrim, darksiders 2,gta iv etc at high setting?plz reply
You're welcome. You need to remember that Laptops aren't meant for gaming, and they are a lot more expensive than a equivalent Desktop PC. As for Skyrim and gta iv, you won't be able to playing it at High details. Darksiders will run at full details because it's not a demanding game. Do you insist on a Laptop, or would you be interested in a Desktop PC as well? I'm sure for the same price i can recommend a Desktop pc that will outperform that laptop of yours.
no i want to go with laptop,i sold out my previous desktop.....bcoz i am not staying in home....i live in a hostel and used to go here and there regularly so desktop is of no use and ya i dnt wanna spend lot in the laptops like alienware or apple......can i do occasional gaming with this laptop?or wud u like to suggest any better laptop at this range.......plz answer
Sony Vaio's are expensive for the specifications. You pay too high a premium for the name. Try to find a laptop with the same specs from a brand like Hewlet Packard if you want value for money.
Okay i understand, that laptop will do just fine gaming wise, but it's not for high end, hardcore gaming. I've looked around the website and the one you have chosen is very good value for money, i don't see others better than that vaio.
thnks werner......aftr long research i came to know about this laptop...dts y i thought of going wid this....so sud i go with this finally?
