i5-3440 good for gaming and recording?

Is the i5-3440 good for gaming and recording? I mean recording League of Legends, Minecraft, Maplestory, Combat Arms, those type of older games. EDIT: CSGO as well. Planning to play this on high (all of them).

I'd recommend boosting up to an i7. Personally, I use an i7-3770, and it works fantastically. It's not the most powerful CPU around, but it'll do what it needs to do.

It would work great for your intended use. I would put the saved money towards a better GPU instead of getting an i7.

Thanks ^^ I'm getting it for about $100 of course i have to buy a new mobo as well but it sounds pretty worth compared to my Intel Q8300 that can't even run rated speed anymore.
