Here's my rig:

Pro: Intel core i5 3450
Gpu: Sapphire r9 270x dual-x
Ram: Kingston HyperX 8gb ddr3 1600mhz
Psu: Corsair TX 750
Motherboard: Asrock Z68 Pro3 Gen3
Case: Corsair Graphite 230t
Display: Samsung SME2020 16:9 900p(don't have plan right now for 1080p)

How long will it last

Solution
Hi,
Processor would do fine. I wouldn't actually suggest buying the R9 270X since I have one with a i7 4790. You should get a GTX 960 4GB version and that could be more expensive. But It's a reasonable purchase. Plus you don't need a 750W psu. A quality 500W psu would do well. The R9 270X can handle GTA 5 with high settings. But It is not very good when It comes to demanding titles.

Hope This Helped :)

Update : I am sorry My bad, Only the grass quality was on normal. And advanced graphics were off. Checked various explosions with the "painkiller" cheat. It's maintaining 60 fps most of the time. And I guess you already have the card. Don't upgrade until it becomes really "not powerful".
It will last a couple of years at 900p but as games get nicer longer, you will have to reduce your settings quite a bit. If and when you decide to go 1080p or even 1440p then your rig will need upgrading but at 900p you should be good for a few years or so

^well he already has his rig so had the 270x now.

GTA V on high at 1080p? Surprised.if it can handle that. Also, Gta v is maybe one of the most demanding games around.

I do agree that the system is decent and adding a 1060/480 would work very well and be a massive upgrade

As someone who owned a 270x I can say it can handle gta 5 easily at 1080p (mix of high and normal settings)
you are good I say dont upgrade until you truly need to.
hell i was getting pretty close to playing bf4 on ultra settings with my 270x i loved that thing sadly it died a few months ago
