I5 3470 temperature is it normal?

hi im using i5 3470 and i get around 65-75 in custom cooler deep cool gammaxx s40 heatsink fan is it normal or is the temperature too high?

Is that under load? If it is I'd say it's quite normal.

if that idle temps it too high. check in the bios to make sure your cpu is not over clocked or over voltage. if the cooler just went on make sure there thermal paste under the pad and you removed the plastic film on the cooler. some cooler to protect the bottom of the cooler use a plastic film on it. make sure the cooler on tight...also too much paste will cause bad cooling. if that gaming load it somewhat high.if you have a small case make sure there airflow in it. you can try taking the side panel off see if the temp drops.

Seems a bit high if it's not overclocked. How did you apply the thermal paste?

Also, where are you checking the temperature? If in BIOS it might report at false high/low.

Try Real temp or coretemp.

Yes only with gta 5 and few other background apps

Yes, would be my answer, IMO that temp is fine. The thermal paste might have to "set first", some people claim that, anyways.
