hello,
i want to buy a new pc mainly for gaming. i'm not a hardcore gamer, but i enjoy play here and there games such as BF3, COD MW, BATMAN...
the new haswell is about 10% more expensive (with suitable motherboard).
should i go with the new technology or the old one?

this is the rest of my planned pc:

Crucial 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz 1.5V CL11 X2
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB SATA3
Samsung 250GB 2.5" SSD 840 Series
Sapphire 7870 XT 2GB GDDR5 with BOOST

Just drop the ssd and get a 1tb hard drive and 8gb of corsair vengeance 1600mhz cl9.
The videocard is a great card with a great price performance ratio.
With the the amount of money you saved get an i5 3570k+z77(asrock extreme 4) or i5 4670k+z87(asus z87-c looks like a good one)
edit: if you really want a ssd get the 128gb version but I personally think it's better to have better main parts

Actually drop the ssd to a 128gb one, and get 8gigs of ram. You're gonna need the ssd for faster response times. For just gaming both processors will be excellent. Keep away from the 4670k or 3570k if you wont be overclocking, its a waste of money. Your videocard is a good one.

+1, but if you want the extra futures of z87 you might want to go with it, you can also say skylake will probably come out on the haswell mobo's but you don't know how much better skylake will be.

You don't need a ssd but yes it's nice to have one.

agreed but you don't need it hehe

In my current pc, i have 250gb on my c drive where everything is installed, and i have about90-100gb free space. that why i chose ssd with 250gb. i rather pay 60$ extra and get twice space.
I did took 8 gb of ram: it's just 4gbX2.

Its ok then mate, the ssd is gonna rock. And yes 8gigs of ram is what you must take. And about the processor, i'd say go with something like the i5-3450/3570, dont spend too much on a i7 for gaming, there is no difference.

Don't waste your money on anything in the 4XXX series unless you're like going to liquid cool and oc. You dont even need that big of an ssd. get a smaller ssd and a larger hd and more ram.
