I5 3570k for gaming?

Hello I have a Hp p6-2143w pc that I gutted into a HAF 912 with a GTX 560 and a GS800 PSU(being replaced with a hx850). I'm trying to upgrade and replace all the parts back in the Hp for resell. I'm Starting by upgrading the CPU and MoBo and I'm looking at the i5 3570k. Is this my best option for around $220? Its going to be for strictly for gaming and I'm willing to get into overclocking if I have to but I'm new to it. I don't care if its AMD or INTEL I would just like the best performance for gaming at around $220. Also this is the MoBo I'm looking to get is this the best choice and is it easy to overclock on it?

Here's one set of benchmarks: http://intelvsamd.wordpress.com/. I've never overclocked the K series cpus; just a heads up that Intel voids the warranty if your cpu dies while overclocking. But Intel also sells insurance for it for around $20 extra last time I heard. The 8120 uses more energy; you may get a better bang for the buck by using the 6100 instead if you stay with amd.

At that price point the 3570k is his best option. There isnt even a question.

This plan will cover the replacement of a single processor over the course of the 3 year worry period. For the most part they replace the old CPU with no questions ask the only things that could slow this down is if you lap the cover of the processor or you do this within the first 30 day after buying the plan.

I will be using it for gaming so will I need to overclock or is it fast enough at stock? I will be playing alot of high end game like farcry 3, battlefield 3, Dayz(Arma 2 mod), diablo 3 etc.
