I finally was able to build my new pc a week ago. now im having a big problem. i bought an i5 3570k
i use intel hd 4000 graphics because im waiting for amd 8000 series . every time i play a game my pc freezes and leaves a red and green checkerboard screen. the only games i play on the pc r halo 2, arctic combat, haunt: slender and killing floor. when i looked at how my cpu was running. really only 2 cores were in use. i also did a stress test after it happened the second time. it did not freeze but hit 71*c. what is wrong?.

i5 3570k
Intel HD 4000 Graphics
Gigabit Z77 DH3H
10GB Ram
1TB HDD
700 Watt Psu

How did you manage to get 10GB of RAM? If you have 2 4GB sticks and one 2GB stick or something, that's really bad. It has to all be the same make, model and denomination. Other than that, did you install all the motherboard drivers when you first booted into windows? If you installed them from the mobo disk, go get the latest drivers from the Gigabyte website and install those.

hahaha I don't know why I found this so funny.

It make me cry.

But seriously, I am guessing it has something to do with the 10GB RAM setup.

HD4000 cant run most game btw
This comment is full of ignorance.
The HD4000 is more than capable of playing the games he has even at higher settings.
It is also able to play newer games on low settings.

The HD4000 uses system memory, so your 8GB memory stick may be defective.
Try running a program such as Memtest, and see if errors are reported.

so i did a memtest with 8gb. no errors came up. ill keep testing everything but after today ill insert the 2gb and run tests as well and run new tests this coming weekend
