it sais my max cpu vcore (in hwmonitor) is 1.260 for stock i5 3570k, i havn't changed anything although it does go to 3.8 with that "turbo" feature which came stock. i havn't touched anything to do with oc'ing in the cpu yet, doesn't this seem way too high? my temps are high but not TOO high max temp under load playing gw2 has been 77 on the cpu, with stock cooler.

Isn't that way too high? i read people getting 4.2 with that kind of vcore?

Hey,

If your voltage in the BIOS is set on AUTO then the motherboard may be giving the CPU more voltage than it needs by default. This is normal as the auto setting provides your CPU with a voltage that more or less guarantees its stability, it doesn't fine tune the voltage. It varies between different motherboards and CPU's, but yes for stock clocks 1.26v is a bit high. There is not one stock voltage, on AUTO its more of a range. You can of course set the voltage to manual, and dial it back to the point where the system is stable but is running at a lower voltage than default. Test for stability each time you lower it, until you reach your desired voltage.

Hope this helps!
