Question i5 3570K overheating at 3.4Ghz?

Hi there. I was interested in overclocking and after watching a few videos/reading articles, I'm curious if that's even possible at the moment. Running an i5-3570k (Ivy Bridge) at 3.40Ghz on an AsRock Z77 Extreme4. Using Hyper 212 Evo. Temperatues maxing out around 45C. Does that seem normal? Seems like when most people start off its around 20-30C. You can get an idea from the picture below using Core Temp and CPU-Z. I built this computer about 4-5 years ago, so I'm wondering if it just has to do with age? Maybe thermal paste has faded off a bit? Just any help/advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I would for sure replace the thermal paste if you have been running that cpu for 4-5 years should help a bit as for 45c max that is pretty normal on a 3570k

45C doing what? If that's 45C while running a game, then that is pretty good. If it is 45C peak while running Windows, that's also probably fine due to activity peaks from the 100+ background processes. Idle (current) at 30C is also perfectly fine.
