I5 3570K stock cooler on Quad Q6660

i want to ask a question about the intel stock coolers,are they all the same?like the core duo ones and the i7 ones are exactly the same coolers?cause i want to put my akasa to the i5 i got now,and i want to put the stock cooler that came with the box of the i5,at my quad Q6600 and i want to know if it will fit perfectly,my motherboard is this http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2693#ov thanks in advance

They need to be the same socket. The 3570k is a 1155 so the cooler would be made for that socket only. And if im not mistaken the Q6600 is a 775? So in your case it will not work.
