I5 3570K vs FX 8350

I am going to be building a new pc soon and I am stick with what CPU i should go with. Should I go with the Intel i5 3570K or the AMD FX 8350.

I plan on using the pc for gaming and some video editing (1 20min HD video everyday).

The conventional wisdom is that the i5 is the better gaming processor

Generally the FX will encode video faster in programs that can use all 8 cores

i5 will be better in almost every aspect.
