I5 3570k vs i7 3770

Which cpu is better please as i am ruining a i5 3570k at 4.2ghz but i wonder if a i7 3770 is worth the upgrade.

Only in rare occasions , extremely hard mutitasking. Else unless they give you the i7 for free, it's no point, your overclocked i5 will run any game and not so tough app better.

The i7-3770 is not worth the cost to upgrade. Even upgrading to an i7-6700k would yield an almost insignificant performance increase.

I considered upgrading my i5-2500k to the i7-3770k because my motherboard supports it, but for the cost of a hard to find new i7-3770k i could get a motherboard, 8GB ddr4 and pay for a good portion of an i5-6600k. The performance difference between the i5-2500k and i7-3770k was only 10% or less.
