Recently I purchased an i5 3570K, which is perfect for me but was a tough decision between that and the i7 3770K. In the end on budget terms, I settled for the i5.
Now I understand that the i7 3770K is, in terms of raw power, more powerful. However I was told that there is a 0% increase in gaming between the two and that the i7's heftier price tag is mainly for the hyperthreading technology, which I understand that games as of current do not utilize.
Is the 0% difference true and will games support HT in the near future?
Regards,
Dan.
