Hey, I'm a new member here, as the title suggest, I will buy a new laptop as I'm going to college and I'm stuck between these two models:

*The first one is an Acer Aspire V15 NITRO with an i5 4210h and a GTX960m 2GB

*The other one is an ASUS X550VX with an i7 6700hq and GTX950m 4gb

I'm going to use the PC for studying and playing games as heavy as Far Cry Primal.
I'm leaning toward the Acer as it has a more powerful GPU, FullHD screen and a Backlit keyboard, but in the other hand it has a weaker CPU, so which one should I choose.

Thanks.

thats actually not an easy choice. For games the Acer is better because of its gpu, but it also only has a dual core cpu, albeit with hyperthreading. But then again, if your gaming with your laptop, i would suggest the Acer.

Thank you for replying, I'm not going to do crazy thing that require a lot of CPU power like video editing, the i5 is more than enough for normal usage and not bad for these days games, but what concerns me that maybe dual core CPUs will no longer be supported in the coming years like we saw in Far Cry 4.
