If you can get a laptop with a 4-core/8-thread CPU and 16GB of RAM, it would be more beneficial for photo editing. The SSD definitely helps in faster boot times and application launch times. RAM is a very important part as well (though the 8GB RAM will suffice as a bare minimum; a 16GB RAM (or 12GB) would be highly recommended).
