Will my Intel i5-4430 @ 3.00 GHz be able to run a gtx 1070 or will it not work i currently have a gtx 650. i don't want to buy something i can't use.

I am a noob at this

Specs

Gpu: gtx 659
Cpu: Intel i5-4430 @ 3.00 GHz
Ram: 8GB
OS: windows 10 64-bit

Solution
Yes Running does not depend on CPU its the Motherboard and PSU
as you are already running GTX650 then your board has PCI-E slot which is needed for the GPU
but i want to know how much watt is your PSU?
and which brand?

Becouse you have to check if your PSU is enofgh to power the GTX1070 or not as 1070 needs additional power supply cable
