i5 4430 for gaming?

How is a i5-4430 for gaming? I plan to run a GTX 660 / R9 270x.

For the video cards you have chosen - its a perfect match. I5 is the perfect price/performance CPU for gaming. While some might promote AMD, and I am also saying the 8350 has a quite adequate performance, I don't like the idea of running a 125W and up CPU to do the job of a 60 one just to save 10 bucks. Electricity is quite expensive in some countries .

Should be fine, a 4670K would be better but it should be okay. You know you can get a i5-4570 Haswell 3.2GHz for about $10 more.

I agree. And even if you live in certain states in the US (*cough* Cali), electricity is also expensive. For your proposed set-up, the i5 4430 should work great.
