I5 4430s Gaming?

I am going to purchase a new cpu. Upgrading from a Pentium g3258 to an i5 and in new zeland the price of an i5-4460 is $270 but there is this cpu a i5-4430s for $190 so i was wondering why is their an S at the end. And how good id this cpu for gaming?

I dont know why people focus on turbo mode, its fairly useless IMO. How many single threaded apps are out there these days? yes thats the only time you will see the full turbocore boost. If 4 cores are active, you might see 100mhz boost if all the core temps are good.

So to answer your question, if all 4 cores are in use the normal 4430 would be running at 3ghz minimum while the 4430s would be at 2.7.
in term of gaming it would make very little difference. a couple of frames per second at most.
