Hello everyone. I want to build a gaming PC. Unfortunately I live in México, and there aren't many different parts to choose from. I tried to buy some headphones in Amazon.com as a test for their shipping service, but they won't recognize my credit card as a payment method, when I'm able to use it in steam. Not sure what happened there.

Anyway, looks like I'll have to buy parts from mexican online stores.
I have decided to get a GTX 970, and I want an intel i5 processor. The only problem so far is that there appears to be a huge gap between prices of the i5's.

i5-4440: ~$188.95 USD
i5-4590: ~$231.67 USD
i5-4690: ~$259.65 USD

As you can see, it's a pretty big gap of $42.72 dlls if I want to get the i5-4590. Not sure it's worth it. I know DirectX12 is coming, and it will reduce CPU usage. But my main concern is if the i5-4440 will bottleneck a 970 in current games. Should I really spend $42 extra dlls to get the i5-4590?

I don't want to overclock, by the way.

P.S: tell me if you want to know about the parts I've selected so far, all of those have good reviews... I think.

Solution
Any current generation i5 is perfectly fine for gaming. Even a Haswell refresh i3 does well. The 4440 will be just fine with pretty much any single or dual GPU configuration.

The i5-4440 is a Haswell chip though, not Haswell refresh, but it still performs admirably. If you could swing the price difference between that chip and the 4690 non-k, it would probably be worth it in performance returns overall.

Cyberpuerta has the best price for a new i5 CPU, and considering that they dont get that much cheaper used on mercadolibre is best to get it new. Dont waste that extra money on a better cpu, get a good psu instead, they're utterly overpriced here in Mexico.

Definately dont buy from cyberpuerta, i bought a new monitor from them and they sent it to me broken, refused to change it or take responsibility and even laughed about it. Bunch of crooks.
