i5-4440+R9 270 or FX-6300+R9 280

should i go with i5 or fx build?

or should i just get the i5 and a USED HD 7950/r9 280 on ebay for the same price as a new r9 270

Go with the i5 build if you want to have the fastest system and better upgrade potential. The card is up to you. If the R9-280 is out of reach with the i5, the R9-270 can easily be OC'd to 270X numbers.
