Yes, its a very good choice for gaming. Virtually any Core i5-4xxx are just +/-100 MHz variants of the same chip, the only one significantly different are the -4670K and -4690K, and only then because they can be overclocked.
The only locked Haswell Core i5 that really stands out at all is the i5-4690 for lower heat generation, and that being very new may be significantly more expensive or unavailable in your country.
