Same processor with a 100 MHz difference. The -4460 is a tiny fraction of a percent faster. Don't pay very much more for it, if you do at all.

You will not notice the minor difference in clock speeds of the cheaper i5-4440.

Yes, its a very good choice for gaming. Virtually any Core i5-4xxx are just +/-100 MHz variants of the same chip, the only one significantly different are the -4670K and -4690K, and only then because they can be overclocked.

The only locked Haswell Core i5 that really stands out at all is the i5-4690 for lower heat generation, and that being very new may be significantly more expensive or unavailable in your country.

I actually got myself 4460, only because at certain point the shop was offering 4460 for 10 bucks less than 4440, lol.

Let's not forget the 4460 is Haswell refresh, so it does have minor improvements in thermodynamics.
