Hello everyone! :D
I'm going to change my current RAM modules (2x4 GB 1600 MHz, some shitty Kingstons ;x) to 16 GB with higher frequencies. For first, my CPU is i5-4460 (https://ark.intel.com/content/www/p...5-4460-processor-6m-cache-up-to-3-40-ghz.html) and MOBO is GA-Z97X-Gaming 3 (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z97X-Gaming-3-rev-10/). On CPU's page, I saw that it supports up to 1600 MHz DDR3. But my MOBO supports upto 3200 MHz. For now, I'll buy 4x4 GB 2400 or 2133 MHz RAM modules. Would it be okay or CPU will limit RAM somehow?

I'm thinking about some Ripjaws modules. Probably F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM or F3-2400C10D-8GZH. For daily usage and some gaming (mainly BF Hardline and BF4) would it be fine alongside with Radeon RX 470 GAMING X 4GB?

Thanks in advance for everyone reply guys! :D

Solution
Most likely you will just have to customize in the bios settings for ram to work on this frequency, if not done already.
I haven't used this mobo, but this is what I usually see people to do in similar cases.
For the cpu, maybe some of the k-ones like 4590k would utilize ram better, but nah.

Aight, seems that these sticks should be good then. Would be there big difference between 10 and 11 CL i daily usage and games?
