Hello guys, as stated in the topic my i5 is somewhat running too cool in heavy load. While im actually happy about it, im also quite worried that something might not work properly.
My rig setup is as follow
Nxzt H440 silent case
3 stock 120mm front intake fans
1 stock 140mm back exhaust fan
2 corsair 120mm top exhaust fan (only 1 is on because i ran out of adjustable fan slot)
Cooler master 212 with 2 fans in push and pull
Asrock h97 fatality performance board
All adjustable fans are set at silent mode
I dont have room temperature meter, but i live in tropical country, but my room is air conditioned so room temperature should be around 24- 28 celsius
I use software called open hardware monitor and usually keep it open on my 2nd display to keep track on my whole system
Idle temp is 35-40 degrees celsius which is normal
Under certain mmo game where cpu load ranges from 40-80% my temp is around 50 celsius
Playing witcher 3 with cpu load constantly above 90% my temp remains unchanged from around 50 celsius
My friend told me my cpu is running too cool under that kind of load and suggested me to check on it
Then i checked on forums people say 70 celsius under load is considered normal
Obviously both my cpu and board are not capable of overclocking so all settings are at stock

Is there any possibility the thermometer is broken somewhat? Or my cpu is not working properly and actually doing less load than it says?

Solution
Yeah it's fine. Haswell does run hotter than Ivy Bridge and 70c is possible but 50c is a perfect temp for it to be running on load.
Ah yes, but my cooler is not that expensive stuff anyway so I didn't think it would be this cool. So I shouldn't be worried about it right?
Another question, I'm planning to buy an i7 4970k and z97 board sometime later and use my i5 and h97 for another build in my workplace, with my current setup can I keep i7 4790k clocked at 4.4ghz

Intel ships the i7 with a boost speed of 4.4GHz, and they expect that people running stock speeds will run the stock cooler, so with your setup its going to be JUST fine, you might even be able to overclock it more...
