Hi guys, quick question, will I be able to play games on low/medium settings at 1080p with just the 4460? I won't be getting a gpu till next month so I was wondering if I could get the rest of the stuff first and get my pc up and running. I'll be getting a sapphire 7950 next month if you're wondering.

So yeah, should I wait for the gpu or can I setup everything else and start playing first?

You can set up the system, you'll just have to run games on the integrated Intel HD graphics for the time being. Light games like minecraft and League of Legends will be playable. Anything more demanding...not so much. Maybe on low settings but you will have choppy or low fps.

^^ what he said.

All things being equal, if you were going with an AMD build, your system would be more CPU limited when it comes to gaming, while being decently playable because AMD's IGP solutions are vastly superior to Intels IGP. Meanwhile, Intel has the better CPU, while having what is pretty much a near useless IGP.

However, planning for the system you will wind up with means you'll just have to live for a while with the admittedly crappy Intel IGP which will be remedied in spades when your new discrete GPU comes in. Low settings will still be pretty bad FPS-wise, but again, it's just temporary.
