I had really wanted to build a Skylake build around $800 or so, but I think instead I am going to stick with my Haswell build and just upgrade for that same budget.
Current build:
CPU - Intel Pentium G3258 @ stock 3.2ghz
MB - MSI Z97 PC Mate
Mem - Kingston HyperX Savage 1x8gb @ 1866mhz
GPU - EVGA GTX 750 1gb Superclocked
PSU - EVGA 500w
Case - Corsair SPEC-01
My question is would it be worth the trouble to install a liquid cooler and stuff for the 4690K, or just go for the 4590 and stock cooler? I'm planning to get a GTX 1080 to replace the 750. I'm looking to be able to do 1080p60 on high to ultra settings for games like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Witcher 3, Doom, Wolfenstein, Overwatch, Battlefield 1, CoD: Infinite Warfare, Civ VI, etc.
