Hi, I been trying to force i5 4590 to run at 3,7GHZ under load.

I know that when 4 cores are active it will reach 3,5GHZ but ive read that some options on the bios can force all cores to run at maximum speed (37x100), for some reason i cant find "enhaced turbo" on mine which seems to be related (msi z87i gaming ac).

However when i enabled XMP profiles for the memories (G.Skill TridentX DDR3 2400MHZ) i see on msi command center 3700Mhz in short periods, but reduces to 3,5GHZ as soon a demanding task starts.

Things i already tried:
1) Disable turbo boost, set manually to 37x100 with dynamic mode, goes back to 3,5ghz under load.
2) I tried core ratio limit but values can't go far than this:
core 0: 37, core 1: 37, core 2: 36, core 3: 35
3) I have edited long duration power and short duration power with no luck

The temps are right, i use a 3 heat pipes cooler with Noctua NF-A9 PWM, 28º on idle and 58º after 2 hours on prime95.

I made some pics of the bios options because i cant find which one could help here.

whats happening is normal
the turbo boost is set to disable the two extra cores, in your case the core2(36) and core3(35) thats the reason their multipliers are low.
your cpu can run all cores at max 3.5, three cores at max 3.6, and two cores or one core at max 3.7 so when a single threaded task is open your system will run two cores or one core at 3.7 but for processes like video rendering all cores will work but at 3.5

Thanks for your reply.

You are correct but what im looking is to force all cores to run at the maximum multiplier speed of the turbo boost, 37x100, even when 4 cores are active, while keeping EIST and other saving functions.

I been searching for a solution on internet and this kind of information is confusing, some people says it works on their boards, some people have enhaced turbo option on the bios.

I know turbo boost depends on many values such as temp, load, power, etc

So i wonder if there is some kind of tdp limit, an option that should be set manually on the bios or my pc cant do that at all.
