I was planning on buying an i5 4590 for an upgrade to my Pentium G3258. I know that it's obviously a lot better but with a 750 TI, will I see a good enough performance increase that it's worth the price tag? All feedback is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

With your current setup the CPU is not the bottleneck. Certain titles may perform better on the i5 due to the additional cores but you will probably not see the performance increase you are looking for. Assuming you have an upgrade budget of $200 (based on the cost of a 4590) you will be better off upgrading your gpu to either a gtx 960 or a r9 380.

I obviously want to upgrade my graphics card, but I don't even have an idea of when I can do that. So just for now is the upgrade still worth it or will I only see the real benefit when I get a better graphics card?

I would advise starting with the graphics card for immediate results

So upgrade the graphics card and then the CPU? any recommendations? I only have a budget of 300 CAD

You will see drastic gains with both of these gpus:

GTX 960: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

R9 380: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

and they should both be in your budget. Both would be a decent upgrade, if you can hold off and save for a gtx 970 I would.

I think I'll hoild off until I can get both the i5 4590 and the 960 because my birthday is coming up and if I get enough money on top of what I have I'll get both. Thanks for the help!

I currently run a i5 4690k and a gtx 970, I did have a 3258 before the i5. It was overclocked to 4.2ghz. It did hold back the 970 but it was still moons better than my crossfire 6970's. The 3258 is an impressive CPU for the money. Every game has different CPU requirements, some games run the same from the Pentium to the i5, for example I saw minimal change when playing project cars (both CPUs kept me hard at 60fps) but other games like dying light seem to utilize the i5 and give a significant bump in performance. Waiting is never a bad idea but if you can get the card now you might decide you don't even need the cpu.
